Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Signal Society website, app, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Signal Society ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read them carefully. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for any activity that occurs under it. Please keep your login details secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. The practice, what the Service is and is not
Signal Society is a personal-growth and wellness tool. It is not medical or mental-health care, therapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. We make no guarantee of any specific result. If you are experiencing a crisis or a medical or mental-health condition, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and trials
- Subscriptions. Some features require a paid subscription, offered through the Apple App Store. Pricing, billing period, and any free-trial terms are shown in the app before you purchase.
- Free trial. If a free trial is offered, unless you cancel before it ends, it will convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged at the price disclosed.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the words, affirmations, and other content you create in the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, for example, to assemble your Signal in the voice you select and to make it available to you across your devices. If you choose to share a Signal Key, you authorize us to make the shared configuration available to the recipient.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or interfere with the Service or its security;
- upload content that infringes others' rights or violates the law;
- use the Service to harass, harm, or impersonate others.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, audio technology, and the "Signal" and "Signal Key" concepts, is owned by Signal Society and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (such as the App Store, cloud providers, and audio-processing services). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal Society and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Signal Society is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
